Mookie's back in town!

Look what crawled out from under the sink..none other than our old pal Moqtada al-Sadr, who surfaced from hiding for a Friday sermon in the Shiite Kufa mosque in Najaf, Iraq.

"No, no for the devil. No, no for America. No, no for the occupation. No, no for Israel," he chanted at the start of his speech. And of course, many of the roughly 6,000 worshipers in the mosque repeated right after him.

This is the first time Mookie has appeared in public since the start of the Baghdad security crackdown about four months ago, when he reportedly fled to Iran. But he's back now, and reportedly cribbing down in Najaf.

Mookie, of course is calling for the US to leave Iraq now...so that he and his mullah pals in Iran can take over things. Apparently, he came back to Iraq to consolidate his control over the political situation and especially over the Mahdi Army, the Iran armed and trained Shiite militia he leads.

Another reason for his returning, I'm convinced, is to help coordinate a major Iran-backed offensive against US troops over the summer to increase political disaffection here at home prior to the scheduled evaluation in September.

These people can read the news and draw conclusions from the posturing of certain politicians here at home.

Amazingly, instead of clapping this creep in irons, the US is urging him to play a 'positive' Iraq role!

"Now that he's back from four months in Iran, we hope he'll play a useful and positive role in the development of Iraq," said White House national security spokesman Gordon Johndroe.

Sure
he will. Just watch.
